In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War today April 12, 2011, below is a list of some of the prominent Civil War Generals who served in Utah, specifically at Camp Floyd.
Rooney Lee was also at Camp Floyd, with his two pards from college. And least we forget BG John C. Robinson, USA (Worshipful Master Rocky Mountain #205-Camp Floyd) the first day at Gettysburg, and seeing the last Senior Warden of that lodge on the opposing side, Brother Heth.

This is by no means a complete list. Like it says in the first sentence these are just some of the most famous ones.

By all menas do not forget Robinson. He is one of the seven participanst in the Utah Expedition that later received the Medal of Honor either in the Civil War or the Indian Wars.

No one has been forgotten. Like I said above this is just a list of SOME of the famous people at Camp Floyd. We are not attempting to make a full list. Just trying to get the word out about how Camp Floyd is tied to some important figures in history.
Soldiers are the real hero of a nation, they work for you by risking their own life. The above people that you given above are very famous by their service. Thank you for sharing the details and pictures of them. Regards.
